Fichigrod keeps pond-management information on your Android device so you can use your records without an internet connection.
Overview
This policy describes how the current Fichigrod Android app handles information. The app has no sign-in, online account, or cloud sync. Pond and fishing records are stored locally and are not sent to the developer.
Information Stored on Your Device
To operate, Fichigrod stores the pond names and IDs, water types and areas, spot numbers and use times, species names, event types and dates, weights, selected weight units, and stocking quantities that you enter or manage. These records are kept in the app's local Room database and used to show pond activity and calculate statistics.
A read-only sample pond, spots, events, and charts are generated for display when you have no saved ponds. Sample content is never written to your database.
Collection and Sharing
Fichigrod has no network permission, account service, advertising, analytics, crash reporting, or cloud-sync feature in its current source. The app does not transmit your records to the developer or third parties. We do not receive personal information from your device.
Permission
Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): On Android 13 and later, the app may request this permission after you start a timed spot use. If allowed, Android can display a local alert when the selected duration ends; the alert may include the pond name and spot number. This permission does not access contacts, location, photos, or the microphone, and it does not send records online. If notifications are denied or disabled, the reminder will not appear; the other record features remain available.
Your Choices and Deletion
- You can delete an individual fish event from Records; its fish entries are deleted with it.
- Deleting a pond permanently deletes its spots, spot-use history, and fish records.
- Reducing a pond's available spot count can archive unused spots while keeping their use history.
- To remove all remaining local app data, clear Fichigrod's storage in Android settings or uninstall the app.
These actions affect the copy stored on your device. Because Fichigrod does not upload records, the developer cannot view or remotely delete them.
Security
Fichigrod stores its database in Android's app-private storage. The app manifest disables Android backup for this app. Anyone who can access your unlocked device may be able to view records in the app, so protect access to your device.
Children and Age Requirements
Fichigrod is not directed to children under 13. Anyone under 13 must not download, access, create content in, or use the app.
Users aged 13 through the age of legal majority where they live may use Fichigrod only with the knowledge and consent of a parent or legal guardian. Users who have reached the age of legal majority may use it independently.
For parents and guardians: Records stay on the device and are not visible to the developer. You can remove them using the in-app deletion options, Android's clear-storage control, or by uninstalling Fichigrod. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information.
Changes to This Policy
If the app's information practices change, this policy will be updated and its effective date revised.
